I go through phases with Netflix, sometimes I just binge watch a TV series, sometimes I’m all about the films, but right now I can’t get enough of their documentaries. In particular, I’m loving fashion documentaries right now. They are perfect for chilling out at the end of the day and getting a little inspiration. I thought I’d share 5 of my favourites with you so you can check them out on Netflix (right in time for the weekend)
Iris is a documentary following Iris Apfel, who is one of the most fabulous women ever. She has one of the most amazing collections of clothes and accessories and has such a unique sense of style. Iris is most definitely not a minimalist but she certainly is an inspirational woman, it’s just a lovely documentary to sit and watch (even if it’s just for her outfits).
This documentary goes behind the scenes at Vogue (AKA the fashion bible). The film follows Anna Wintour and gives you a unique insight into the inner workings of Vogue and what exactly goes into creating its famous September issue.
I loved watching this documentary about some of New York’s most stylish senior citizens. It’s basically fashion bloggers in 50 years and it’s fabulous! These women are so inspirational with their amazing style and energy. It goes to show that growing old doesn’t mean you have to grow up. This is a lovely documentary to sit and watch with a glass of wine in the evening.
I am definitely going to have a look. Long, May evening are perfect to watch documentaries and other movies outside on the grass. Watching outside on the grass sounds like a great idea (maybe with a cheeky glass of wine too)
Although I am supposed to start working on my dissertation soon, be preparing job interviews, etc. I feel like watching one of those documentaries is a great idea (or a great way to procrastinate) Anyway, I will definitively have a look (And how perfect, my boyfriend happens to have netflix!). Thank you for the great read! 🙂
